Advancing Research and Diagnostics for Diamond Blackfan Anemia

Diamond Blackfan Anemia (DBA) is a rare inherited bone marrow failure syndrome. Defects in ribosome biogenesis cause the disease.

Patients facing this rare disease suffer from severe anemia, developmental abnormalities, and an increased risk of cancer. Furthermore, early diagnosis and reliable patient monitoring remain critical challenges.

Diamond Blackfan Anemia workshop 24-25 June 2026
  • 📍 Location: Centre de Biologie Intégrative (CBI), University of Toulouse, France

  • 📅 EuroDBAS Meeting: June 23–24, 2026

  • 📅 Pre-rRNA Analysis Workshop: June 25, 2026

Please note: While the hands-on workshop on June 25 is free, the main EuroDBAS conference requires a paid registration.

Adelis is proud to support this pivotal event. We will also actively contribute to the scientific discussions surrounding innovative diagnostic approaches for rare diseases.

Free Hands-on Workshop: Simplifying Pre-rRNA Analysis

On June 25, immediately following the conference, Adelis will organize in a dedicated hands-on workshop focused on pre-ribosomal RNA analysis. This session explores a promising frontier for DBA diagnosis and research.

During this session, attendees will discover how the BIABooster platform uses capillary electrophoresis to simplify pre-rRNA analysis. More specifically, the platform helps standardize the detection of pre-rRNA processing defects linked to the disease. We therefore look forward to meeting the DBA community and showing how next-generation analytical technologies can accelerate clinical research.
