Zetalif Laser

01 Overview

Zetalif Laser induced fluorescence (LIF) detectors are ultra sensitive solutions for all separation techniques such as Liquid Chromatography (capillary LC, microLC, nanoLC, UPLC) and Capillary Electrophoresis. The modular design of this detector provides maximum versatility and enables an unrivalled level of sensitivity for fluorescence measurement thanks to a broad range of lasers offering an excitation wavelength from 266nm to 785nm. Analysts can adapt the wavelength of the laser depending on their application, simply by changing the laser and the corresponding filter blocks.

02 Technology

Adelis offers a unique patented collinear optical arrangement making the detector performances unsurpassed.

The key feature of this patented technology is the use of a ball lens in direct contact with a capillary or micro- column, enabling both high fluorescence recovery and ease-of -use. Fluorescence is read directly inside the capillary, without degrading the resolution of the analytical chain. No optical fine tuning is required when changing the capillary.

Moreover, recent upgrade of this unique technology allowed a superb miniaturization of the optical head, linked to the light source and detector by optical fibers. This design makes easy the integration of the detector in any analytical system.

03 About Lasers

Lasers offer the best sensitivity thanks to coherent light and optimal focusing.

A wide range of wavelength is available, with compact and robust solid state lasers, including 266 nm for native fluorescence of proteins.

Lasers must be chosen when sensitivity is critical or when optimal wavelength is not available in the LED range.

In order to provide adequate safety to end users all the lasers have the European Certification (CE) and are certified as complying with the US laser product performance standard and meet the requirements of the US Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH) Office of Compliance.

Lasers can easily be controlled manually or remotely by the detector to provide maximum safety.

04 Wavelength - Application

The Zetalif Laser detector is a sensitive solution for HPLC, fast-LC and CE systems and offers a large range of laser wavelengths:

266 nm: native fluorescence detection of proteins
325 nm or 355 nm : mono and polysaccharides labeled with 2AB or 2AA
405 nm or 445 nm: analysis of amino acids labeled with NDA
473 nm or 488 nm: DNA/RNA, immunoglobins, IgG, amino acids, oligonucleotides polysaccharides…
515 nm or 532 nm: immunoglobins, IgG tagged with 5-Tamra-SE
